RECORDS REVIEW
Our “Records Review” service is specifically designed to support legal professionals handling court cases involving whiplash injuries.
BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS
AUTO CRASH RECONSTRUCTION
May include poster board or other graphic renditions of events surrounding the crash.
FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION (FCE)
Functional capacity evaluations may be performed for physical function alone or may include cognitive overlay, if an acquired brain injury occurred. The time it takes to conduct the evaluation may vary depending on the area of the body being evaluated.
DEPOSITION
Includes travel time for venues outside of Weber and Davis counties. Minimum 1.5 hours, to be paid in advance of deposition date, or (at the latest) before deposition begins. The time of deposition, as mutually agreed by both parties, shall constitute the beginning point of the deposition.
INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Includes history, examination (with monofilament and/or two point discrimination testing), review of typical quantity of medical records, computerized dynamic surface EMG, range of motion evaluation, computerized muscle strength testing, battery of validity tests, and written report.
ARBITRATION, COURT, VIDEO TESTIMONY
Dr. Mickelsen insists upon one pretrial conference with attorney. Arbitration/court/video testimony in the city of Ogden.
IMPAIRMENT RATINGS
Personal injury or workers comp. 5th or 6th edition Guides (Utah still abides by the 5th edition guides). Utah guides for workers comp (where applicable).
PRETRIAL PREPARATION
Includes literature searches, preparation of exhibits, models, or diagrams, telephone conversations with other physicians, attorneys, or injured patients.
